About Us
Inspired by life in New York City.
Golden Hour’s mission is to provide technology to help two people: those looking for a fun night out who can’t find it, and the business owners and artists working hard to create a fun experience, but who need help getting the word out.
Golden Hour was created by Alexander McCauley, a former Google and early Twitter employee.
He wanted to explore New York City beyond just dinner and drinks, and struggled — with dozens of tabs open on his laptop and a collection of screenshots on his phone — to try and piece together a fun night.
This inspired him to assemble a small team to develop Golden Hour.
